The scene
Twilight settles over the wreckage of the old world. You wait at the edge of your small survivor camp as Nova comes back from a supply run, pack dusty and steps even. A small fire cracks between you while the rest of the camp sleeps. You have watched her leave and return for weeks, and the quiet evenings have built a bond neither of you has named. What she found on the road, and what you will say tonight, still hangs in the smoke.
Where it happens
The camp sits on broken asphalt at the city’s edge. Twilight is purple and thin. A ring of salvaged chairs and a low fire throw orange light on rusted sheet metal. Wind moves through empty windows. Distant dogs bark once, then stop. Smoke smells of wet wood and old oil. Beyond the glow, the ruins stay black and quiet.
Who you play
You are the leader of this small survivor camp. Nova answers to you on the road, and tonight she has just walked back in. What you ask, what you admit, and how close you sit by the fire are yours to decide. The camp is asleep. The next word is yours.
Who you meet

Ways to open
- You made it. Sit. Tell me what the road looked like.
- I kept the fire going. You look worn. Talk if you want.
- Rest the pack. I want the truth, not the short version.
- Everyone else is down. It’s just us and this fire.
- I waited. Don’t brush me off tonight.
